The Magic of Molds: Using Molds for Enrichment and Meals (Plus, Where to Find Them!)

Updated: Dec 22, 2020

Okay, okay... I'll be the first to admit, being in lockdown has made me extra AF when it comes to enrichment and meals for my dogs.

If I'm being honest, it keeps me creative and occupied; two things that I've struggled with many times in lockdown. Lately, I've been using different molds to create appealing meals and treats - and I've been loving it. I recently used four different molds in our Holiday Feast Recipes that we featured on the blog last week, and I'm absolutely hooked.

Looks aside, molds are a great way to slip in small portions of ingredients & supplements into your dogs meals.

When Rosie suffered from severe incontinence issues as a puppy, I was able to prep urinary supplements in advance via molds. It really helped in a pinch, and using molds saved me so much time since I wasn't re-measuring things every single day.

Here's a quick video on how I assemble molds:

Where I Found Some of Our Molds

Note: Some of my molds I've had for a very long time and may be unavailable in the exact same make. In those cases, I've tried to link molds that are extremely similar.

Santa & Trees are actually a Baking Tin (Similar to this, but it was super on sale).

Here are some ways that I've used simple molds to make exciting creations!
